About the Conference

The Annual Conference of the Southern Africa Mathematical Sciences Association (SAMSA), 2026 Edition, will be held from 24 to 27 November 2026 at the University Campus of Agostinho Neto University, located in Camama, Luanda, Angola.

SAMSA is an organisation whose main objective is to promote research and teaching in the Mathematical Sciences across Southern Africa and beyond, through Conferences, Workshops, and academic-scientific exchange visits. Its Annual Conferences have been held since 1981, serving as a platform for the exchange of knowledge between senior and junior researchers, students, and professionals from academic institutions, industry, and commerce.

The official language of the Conference is English. However, given that the event takes place in a Portuguese-speaking SADC country, presentations in Portuguese will be accepted, provided that slides are written in English to allow all participants to follow along.

Participation

Lecturers, researchers in Mathematical Sciences, and Master's and PhD students from Higher Education Institutions across the SADC region and beyond are welcome to participate. Participation is subject to the submission of an abstract on a relevant topic, which will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. Local participants from all Angolan Higher Education Institutions, public, private, and public-private, are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the stated requirements.

All participants whose abstracts are accepted must register on the Conference website and submit proof of bank transfer to Agostinho Neto University's account for the applicable fee:
